What is Adoption?
Before you begin to make your first steps towards your adoption
journey, consider for a moment: What is adoption? Oxford's
definition: to take (a person) into a relationship, especially
another's child as one's own. That's what
the dictionary says, but do you know God's heart for adoption?
It says in Ephesians 1:5 (NIV), "In love he predestined
us to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance
with his pleasure and will." There are approximately thirty-four
million orphans in the world. If God can adopt us into His family
and call us His own, consider following His steps by bringing
a child into your family through the adoption process. The joy
you will experience as you open your heart and your home to a
child is priceless.
